An oasis of inspiration in the heart of Switzerland
Schwabenalp is a spiritual center, an ashram translated from Sanskrit as "a place devoid of pain" , created by order of Babaji, one of the greatest Indian saints. It is a comfortable hotel in the Alps at an altitude of m. It is located directly above the kilometer-long five-step waterfall that falls into the incredibly blue and clear Lake Brienz, a fantastic lake view from the hotel. The ashram is surrounded by virgin coniferous forests and located in a place of literally stunning beauty, purity and peace.

The center of the unity Schweibenalp is located in the Bernese Oberland at meters, overlooking the turquoise Lake Brienz. As a living and working community, we are hosts in our seminar center and maintain the permaculture gardens. We are part of the Global Ecovillage network and have been contributing to the development of a holistic lifestyle and universal spirituality for over 38 years. The Center of Unity Schweibenalp was one of the first seminar facilities in the German speaking area that is networking with international lecturers. Each seminar room is of a different flair. Schweibenalp is a place for small group retreats as well as for events with up to guests in summer and up to guests in winter. Our picturesque Guest House with its beds was built in the early years of the Swiss mountain tourism and is surrounded by an area of about twenty hectares. Two staff houses and a private chalet are also located in this area.
